Lichen Planus
Discover the complexities of Lichen Planus (LP) in this insightful presentation by Prof. Dr. Mike Chan, tailored for dermatologists, oral medicine specialists, and integrative health practitioners. LP is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disorder that can affect the skin, mucous membranes, nails, and scalp, presenting as purple, polygonal, pruritic papules or painful oral lesions. The exact cause is unclear but involves T-cell–mediated immune dysregulation, genetic predisposition, and possible viral or drug triggers. Diagnosis is based on clinical appearance, dermoscopy, histopathology, and exclusion of mimicking conditions. While corticosteroids remain the cornerstone of conventional therapy, a holistic strategy broadens treatment potential: Autologous Active Specific Immunotherapy (AASI) to recalibrate immunity, PSC (Precursor Stem Cells) and GcMAF Forte to regulate inflammation and enhance tissue healing, Thymus Therapy supported by MO Thymus and NOP Thymus for immune modulation, and systemic reinforcement with Transfer Factors, MO STF, and NOP STF to reduce relapses and improve skin and mucosal health.
