MIAMI, U.S.A. – The 9th Annual Spring Scientific Session of the American Academy of Stem Cell Physicians (AASCP) concluded on a high note, with European Wellness Biomedical Group (EWBG) at the forefront of the conference’s most impactful presentations. Held from March 20–22, 2026, at the prestigious Hyatt Regency Miami, the event brought together leading physicians, researchers, and innovators from around the globe to advance the science of regenerative medicine.

Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, Chairman and Chief Scientist of European Wellness Biomedical Group, delivered a landmark presentation on “Targeted Organ-Specific Precursor Stem Cells for Neurodevelopmental, Neurodegenerative & Metabolic Diseases,” captivating attendees with insights into the precision application of stem cell therapies for some of the most challenging chronic conditions facing modern medicine.

The recognition was announced by Genesis Scientific Publication Pte. Ltd., an open-access academic publisher, which cited Chan’s “exceptional scholarship, high-quality research output, and continued contributions to scientific literature”.

Chan’s latest paper, “Peptide Therapy in Animal Reproductive Health: Advances, Mechanisms, and Translational Perspectives”, was recently published in the Journal of Stem Cell Research (Vol. 7, Issue 1). The study, received on 23 November 2025, was co-authored with an international team of scientists: Michelle BF Wong, Krista Casazza, Dmytro Klokol, and Jonathan RT Lakey.

The collaborative work spans multiple institutions, including European Wellness Group and European Wellness BioMedical Group in Edenkoben, Germany; Heidelberg University in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany; Lincoln University College in Selangor, Malaysia; and the Department of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, USA.

Held at the magnificent Corus KLCC’s Crystal Ballroom, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, The Malaysian Health And Wellness Summit 2025, with the theme of “Driving Healthcare Transformation in Malaysia: Innovation, Investment & Inclusive Growth”, brought together the brightest minds in the industry to jointly evaluate the state of Malaysia’s current healthcare landscape – all with the noble purpose of driving meaningful change and progress in health and wellness! 🏥

During the prestigious event, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan was one of the speakers in a session titled “Solving the Talent Crisis: Workforce Planning, AI-Augmentation, and Cross-Border Talent” – while Prof. Dr. Dmytro Klokol and Dr. Bawani Nesamany spoke during the “Healthcare as an Economic Engine: Innovation, Investment, and the ASEAN Opportunity” and “Delivering Affordable, Smart Healthcare: Cost Efficiency, Digital Transformation & Public-Private Collaboration” sessions respectively.

With the theme “Regenerative Aesthetics Redefined: The New Age of Longevity,” the two-day gathering brought together regional leaders, practitioners, and innovators to explore the next frontier in aesthetics and longevity. The BrandLaureate BestBrand Award in Wellness Innovative Premium Therapeutic Solutions recognizes EWBG’s contributions to wellness and regenerative medicine, highlighting its advancements in premium therapeutic solutions. Representing EWBG, Chairman Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan accepted the award alongside Guest of Honour Tengku Dato’ Dr. Hishamuddin Zaizi Bin Y.A.M Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj. The award was presented by Dr. KKJohan, Prof. Uichol Kim, and Ms. Chew Bee Peng.

Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, a pioneering leader in regenerative medicine, was awarded the World Chinese Icon Leadership Award for Longevity Science, Biotech, Wellness & Education Entrepreneurship during the Global Chinese Economic & Technology Summit (GCET) held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The award, presented at the gala dinner on Tuesday, recognizes Prof. Mike Chan’s outstanding contributions to longevity science, biotechnology, wellness, and education entrepreneurship.

Presented by Prof. Dr. Olha Nishkumai, who is co-author along with Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Michelle Wong, Prof. Dr. O.D. Nikitin, Dr. A.V. Korytskyi, and Dr. I.A. Kordubailo, in a collaboration between European Wellness, O. O Bogomolets National Medical University and the Ukrainian Center for Osteoporosis Diagnostics, their abstract titled ‘New bio-regenerative approaches for urolithiasis preventing’ garnered keen interest in future study results among the global experts present there – a great indicator that we’re on the right path in our research and development efforts!

This annual event, which celebrates high-end, luxurious fashion, is also supported by the Malaysian government and features an impressive lineup of dignitaries, celebrities, and industry professionals.

During the Global Chinese Economic & Technology Summit (GCET) 2023 prestigious award ceremony of Day 1’s Gala Dinner, the incredible achievements of select individuals were highlighted. These include European Wellness Chairman Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, who received the “World Chinese Wellness Entrepreneurship Leadership Award” in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to society!

During the 2nd CISW Thailand Top Wellness World Summit!, Prof. Dr. Mike Chan took center stage as he officially received the Lifetime Achievement Global Honorary Award for his role as a World Medical Wellness and Tourism Ambassador – a grand commemoration of his global contributions in anti-aging, regenerative medicine, and international wellness tourism!

On May 16, European Wellness Founder Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan took to the stage to receive a “Tourism Heroes” award by MITA (Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association), capping a brilliant end to a star-studded night filled with the country’s top industry and political leaders!
