Genesis Scientific Publications Crowns Prof. Mike Chan as Best Author of 2025
KUALA LUMPUR, December 11, 2025 — Malaysian biomedical researcher and author Prof. Dr. Mike Chan has been named Best Author of 2025 by Genesis Scientific Publications, following the release of a peer-reviewed paper on advances in peptide therapy that has drawn international attention across biomedical and veterinary-science circles.
The recognition was announced by Genesis Scientific Publication Pte. Ltd., an open-access academic publisher, which cited Chan’s “exceptional scholarship, high-quality research output, and continued contributions to scientific literature”.
Chan’s latest paper, “Peptide Therapy in Animal Reproductive Health: Advances, Mechanisms, and Translational Perspectives”, was recently published in the Journal of Stem Cell Research (Vol. 7, Issue 1). The study, received on 23 November 2025, was co-authored with an international team of scientists: Michelle BF Wong, Krista Casazza, Dmytro Klokol, and Jonathan RT Lakey.
The collaborative work spans multiple institutions, including European Wellness Group and European Wellness BioMedical Group in Edenkoben, Germany; Heidelberg University in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany; Lincoln University College in Selangor, Malaysia; and the Department of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, USA.
Professor Emeritus Jonathan RT Lakey served as the corresponding author.
The publication examines the mechanisms and therapeutic potential of peptides in animal reproductive health, outlining both experimental findings and possible translational applications. Genesis described the paper as part of its mission to promote “high-quality, ethical, and globally accessible scientific information”.
Founded in April 2020, Genesis Scientific Publications oversees 11 journals and has published more than 500 articles. Each journal operates with independent editorial governance and adheres to Creative Commons open-access licensing standards.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, the publisher said it “appreciates the continued professionalism and excellence” demonstrated by Prof. Mike Chan and his team throughout the year.
Genesis added that its Best Author recognition reflects not only individual merit but also the collaborative nature of contemporary scientific research, highlighting contributions from all co-authors across Germany, the United States, and Malaysia.
