Diabetic Wounds

This presentation provides an overview of diabetic wounds, particularly diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), which are chronic, slow-healing wounds associated with diabetes and can progress to infection, gangrene and amputation. It covers diabetes and its complications, stages of diabetic wounds, normal versus impaired wound healing, factors contributing to delayed healing, risk factors, prevention, and current treatments such as wound care, infection control, off-loading and surgical intervention.
