European Wellness and Ukraine’s Top Sports University Launch Strategic Partnership to Advance Sports Science in Regenerative Medicine

KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia | KYIV, Ukraine – August 22, 2025
In a significant step toward advancing global health innovation, European Wellness Academy (Asia Pacific), the academic and research division of European Wellness Biomedical Group (EWBG), has signed a strategic partnership in research with the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport (NUUPES).
The partnership will focus on the joint project titled:
“Innovative Research in Human Performance: Bridging Sports Science, Clinical Practice, and Regenerative Medicine.”
Leading the European Wellness delegation in this strategic partnership was Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, Founder and Chairman of the group. He was joined by a distinguished team of medical experts, including Prof. Dr. Olha Nishkumai, Dr. Margaryta Iemelianova, Dr. Natassia Sarah, and Dr. Simon Yefimov, reflecting the depth of expertise European Wellness brings to this partnership.
Representing the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport (NUUPES) at the signing of the strategic partnership were key members of its leadership team: Prof. Oleksandr Pyzhov, Acting Rector of NUUPES, Nikonorov Dimitriy, Head of the International Relations Department and Pastuhova Victoria, Head of the Medical Biology and Sport Dietology Department. Their presence underscored the university’s commitment to integrating its top-tier academic and research departments into this global collaboration.
The Strategic Partnership was signed simultaneously in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, and Kyiv, Ukraine, formalizing a cross-border collaboration aimed at elevating research, education, and clinical practices in the field of sports medicine, regenerative therapy, and human performance.

Though the signing event at European Wellness Premier Center in Kota Kinabalu was witnessed by local researchers and medical professionals, the presence of national flags representing Switzerland, Germany, Ukraine, and Malaysia signified the multinational footprint of European Wellness’ scientific development and global research collaborations.
Prof. Oleksandr Pyzhov, Acting Rector of NUUPES, emphasized that “the partnership enhances our capacity to combine traditional sports training with cutting-edge biomedical science—bringing long-term benefits to Ukrainian athletes and youth development programs.”
