His personal experiences with family health issues have shaped his perspective on the importance of lifestyle changes.

Personal Motivations Behind His Practice

Prof. Chan’s passion for health stemmed from personal tragedy. He lost his father to complications of diabetes at age 56 and his father-in-law to kidney failure at 72, despite the latter’s healthy lifestyle, which included walking 10 kilometers daily and avoiding outside food. “You know, how do you expect to be healthy if you consume everything, including sugar?” he questioned, highlighting the dangers of poor dietary choices.

The Dangers of Over-Medication

Prof. Chan voiced concerns about the medical community’s reliance on prescriptions.

The more drugs you take, the more you risk damaging your organs,

he warned. He pointed out that many patients, especially those with chronic conditions, end up on multiple medications that can interact negatively.

Our job is to reduce your medication and promote alternate solutions,

he emphasized.

The Role of the Immune System

Discussing cancer treatment, Prof. Chan explained that many patients suffer from weakened immune systems due to conventional therapies.

To combat cancer effectively, we must boost the immune system,

he stated, noting the importance of gut health in this process. He advocates for innovative treatments available in places like Germany, which can enhance immune response.

Prevention and Lifestyle Choices

Prof. Chan stressed that prevention is key.

Everyone knows how to maintain good health, but it’s hard to implement,

he said, referencing the temptation of unhealthy foods.

Sugar is a major culprit; it’s addictive and can lead to serious health issues.

He encouraged people to be proactive about their health by monitoring their bodies and engaging in regular exercise, even if it means incorporating more walking into daily routines.

When discussing stress, Prof. Chan offered a fresh perspective:

He explained that maintaining a positive outlook is crucial, as stress can trigger hormonal changes that may activate cancer cells. Instead of succumbing to stress, he encourages viewing difficulties as opportunities for growth.

Prof. Chan takes pride in his work with patients previously deemed untreatable, recalling successful recoveries in cases where patients were sent home to die.
