European Wellness Takes Center Stage at Philippine Cellular Therapy Forum 2024
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Aug 28, 2024 – The Philippine Cellular Therapy Forum 2024 saw over 400 medical professionals gather in Manila, where European Wellness Biomedical Group (EWBG) took center stage.
Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan keynote on “Targeted Organ and Brain Specific Peptides in Bio-regenerative Medicine,” captivated attendees, spotlighting groundbreaking treatments and cutting-edge research that are reshaping personalized medicine.
In an interview with NET25 digital TV station, Prof. Chan, alongside Dr. Gisela G. Trajano Sarmiento, delved into the growing health challenges in the Philippines, particularly chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease. They advocated for a “pro-aging” approach, promoting graceful aging and longevity, while stressing the need for public education to dispel myths surrounding stem cell therapy.
Prof. Chan emphasized the critical role of stem cells in regenerative medicine, pointing out how their availability diminishes with age, which heightens health risks. The interview also highlighted the importance of understanding biological age versus chronological age, with the former being a more accurate health indicator.
The discussion further touched on the ethical considerations of stem cell sourcing, recent advancements in Manila’s stem cell research, and the need for specialized stem cells for conditions like Alzheimer’s and diabetes.
Forging Crucial Partnerships
The Philippine Cellular Therapy Forum 2024 served as more than just a platform for discussion; it was also a catalyst for crucial partnerships aimed at advancing regenerative medicine in the Philippines.
Two significant Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) were signed during the event. The first was between PRIMA (Preventive Rejuvenation and Integrative Medical Alliance) and the European Wellness Academy (EWA) of the European Wellness Biomedical Group (EWBG). The second MOU was signed between the Philippine Academy of Aesthetic and Age Management Medicine (PAAAMM) and EWA of EWBG.
These partnerships underscore a commitment to global collaboration and the advancement of healthcare in the Philippines. By bringing together international expertise and local practitioners, these MOUs aim to elevate the quality of regenerative medicine in the country, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
Prof. Chan’s participation in the forum and his interview with NET25, combined with these new partnerships, highlight European Wellness‘s ongoing commitment to advancing global health through innovative cellular therapies and public education.
