The Untreatable Can Be Treated: Vietnamese Mother Defies Stage 4 Cancer with European Wellness Therapy

KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia (Aug 6, 2025) – A Vietnamese mother battling stage four lung cancer with brain metastasis defied medical odds through integrative immunotherapy at the European Wellness Premier Center (EWPC) in Sabah, with her testimonial shared in a compelling panel discussion led by Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan.
Diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer and a 3.1cm brain tumor, Ta Thi Hong Lien was given only months to live. Her daughter, Le Ngan Hoa, brought her to EWPC in early June 2025, seeking a final hope. After just one week of intensive, immune-boosting therapy, including advanced peptides and hyperthermia therapy, her brain tumor shrank significantly — a result Prof. Mike Chan described as “nothing short of a miracle.”
“When they came, we did something to super-boost the immune system,” said Prof. Mike Chan. “We also have the hyperthermia devices that are meant for suppressing the cancer cells. Cancer cells live on sugar. So we cut down the sweetness, including fruits, and also certain meats with hormones. The diet is important. The lifestyle is important.”
Prof. Mike Chan emphasized the center’s use of thymus-based therapies, immunomodulators like GCMaf, and Super Transfer Factors, alongside personalized dietary protocols. He stressed that integrative approaches can extend both lifespan and quality of life, even in terminal diagnoses.

“Can we extend the longevity of cancer patients? Obviously, yes. Can we reduce the pain? Yes. If you’re given three days, three months, or six months to live, and we extend you to the next few years — every day is a gift,” he said.
While cautious not to guarantee full remission, Prof. Mike Chan was optimistic:
“I cannot guarantee everything for every patient… but can I say there is improvement? Yes. Can we delay the progression? Yes. Can we reverse it to a certain level? Yes — it’s possible.”
A central theme of the discussion was cancer as an autoimmune condition, and the need to reboot the immune system through what Prof. Mike Chan calls the “Buffy Coats,” a personalized immunotherapy vaccine derived from the patient’s own blood.
“The ASI therapy is like extracting the DNA of your immune problem,” he explained. “It becomes something like a cancer vaccine for that patient. It can’t be used by anyone else — only that patient.”
EWBG’s therapeutic philosophy, based on German and Swiss biological medicine, involves assessing gut health, heavy metal toxicity, and mucosal immunity, often overlooked in standard oncology.
“Most cancer patients never have a good gut,” Prof. Mike Chan said. “So we repair the gut with intestinal mucosal lining. Heavy metals? We check that too. The immune system cannot function properly if the foundation is weak.”
When asked about combining these therapies with conventional treatments like chemotherapy or radiation, Prof. Mike Chan affirmed their compatibility:
“You can start before, during, or after chemo. We give Thymus to super-boost the immune system. With chemo, the immune system shoots down. But if we prime the patient beforehand, instead of declining sharply, the curve is softened. This is not something we invented — it’s standard practice in Germany.”
He also addressed dosage and purity issues in manufactured cell therapies, explaining the difference between diluted products and high-purity organ-specific stem cells:
“Imagine it takes 60 thymus to make one vial. That’s why our concentration is stronger. Like espresso, if you brew 10 cups into one, it’s powerful. That’s the difference.”
Prof. Mike Chan concluded the session with a message on faith both scientific and emotional.
“The patient must have faith in the doctor. If there’s no belief, it’s difficult. And we, as physicians, must speak with confidence and reassurance. These patients come full of anxiety, fear, depression — we must clear that away. Psychology is as important as biology.”

For Hoa’s mother, now pain-free and improving, the story is one of defying statistics. For Prof. Mike Chan and the European Wellness team, it is a reaffirmation of their belief:
“The untreatable can be treated. And sometimes… miracles do happen.”

Strength in Silence: With tears held back and resolve in her eyes, Le Ngan Hoa reflects on the months of struggle, fear, and hope — a daughter’s unwavering love that led her mother to healing in Sabah.
