Brazilian Doctor Returns to Malaysia to Learn Regenerative Medicine from Prof. Mike Chan

Prof. Dato' Sri Dr. Mike Chan shares insights on regenerative medicine with Dr. Jose Ebram from São Paulo, Brazil, during an exclusive interview at the European Wellness Premier Centre in Kota Kinabalu. Returning to Malaysia for the second consecutive year, Dr. Ebram traveled more than 25 hours to deepen his understanding of precursor stem cell therapy, peptides, and longevity medicine, with the aim of bringing these advances back to benefit patients in Brazil.

KOTA KINABALU, Sabah (July 30, 2026) — Brazilian physician Dr. Jose Ebram has returned to Malaysia for a second consecutive year to deepen his understanding of regenerative medicine under Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, whom he describes as one of the world’s leading experts in the field.

Dr. Ebram attended the European Wellness Academy’s three-day workshop on Longevity, Regenerative and Bio-Regenerative Medicine, held at the European Wellness Premier Centre in Kota Kinabalu from July 30 to Aug. 1.

His latest visit came after attending the International Congress on Advanced Applications in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ICAANND 2025) at Glamhall, Damansara, last November. That conference first introduced him to European Wellness’ work in regenerative medicine.

This year, his trip served two purposes. Besides attending the workshop, he came with a patient at their own request to the European Wellness Premier Centre.

Dr. Jose Ebram listens intently as Prof. Mike Chan explains the scientific principles behind European Wellness' regenerative medicine programs, drawing on more than four decades of clinical research and experience.

“This is my second time here in Malaysia,” Dr. Ebram said during an interview.

“I came with a patient and also for the conference. It is a pleasure to be here learning from Prof. Mike Chan.”

He said every visit has expanded his knowledge of regenerative medicine.

“I always learn something new,” he said.

“I’m learning about precursor stem cell therapy, peptides, and exosomes. I’m also learning how regenerative medicine is being used to treat diseases that were once considered untreatable.”

The interview explored current advances in regenerative medicine and the expanding international collaboration that has positioned Kota Kinabalu as a destination for medical education and professional exchange.

Among the conditions that attracted his interest were Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and autism.

Prof. Mike Chan discusses the philosophy of treating complex chronic and degenerative diseases through precision regenerative medicine while encouraging continued scientific research and responsible clinical application.

“Prof. Mike Chan always talks about treating the untreatable,” he said.

“I really want to learn more from him and hopefully bring these therapies back to Brazil one day.”

Dr. Ebram believes regenerative medicine will become an increasingly important part of future healthcare.

Prof. Mike Chan presented Dr. Jose Ebram with a signed copy of his Handbook of Football Medicine, commemorating their meeting and shared commitment to advancing medical knowledge across borders.

“It is exciting to see where medicine is heading,” he said.

“I believe regenerative medicine is going to help many people in the future.”

His comments reflected a common sentiment among overseas delegates attending the workshop.

Doctors from several countries traveled to Kota Kinabalu to learn directly from Prof. Mike Chan, whose work in precursor stem cell therapy, peptides, and bio-regenerative medicine has attracted growing international attention through the European Wellness Academy’s education programs.

For Dr. Ebram, the journey across continents has been worthwhile.

“When you have the opportunity to learn from someone with Prof. Mike Chan’s experience,” he said, “you continue learning every time you come.”

A memorable moment as Prof. Mike Chan and Dr. Jose Ebram pose with the signed publication, marking another milestone in the growing collaboration between European Wellness and medical professionals from Brazil.
