European Wellness Unveils State-of-the-Art Center in Kota Kinabalu

European Wellness, a global leader in regenerative medicine and integrated healthcare, has officially unveiled its highly anticipated 46th facility – the European Wellness New Premier Center in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The grand opening ceremony, held yesterday, marked a significant milestone in the advancement of healthcare and medical tourism in the region.

The state-of-the-art 60,000 square-foot center, located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, offers an impressive array of over 60 cutting-edge regenerative medicine and holistic wellness therapy services. This facility is part of a larger 500,000 square-foot network in the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP), showcasing European Wellness’s commitment to transforming the healthcare landscape in Sabah.

Sabah's Chief Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Bin Haji Noor, who officiated the ceremony, expressed his enthusiasm for the project: "The opening of this world-class facility is a testament to Sabah's growing prominence in the global healthcare sector. It not only enhances our state's medical capabilities but also positions us as a prime destination for medical wellness tourism. This investment by European Wellness aligns perfectly with our vision to diversify our economy and provide high-quality healthcare services to both locals and international visitors."

The center boasts a team of over 300 scientists, doctors, therapists, and supporting staff, all dedicated to providing personalized, integrative holistic healthcare solutions. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment, luxurious treatment rooms, and a welcoming environment designed to enhance the overall wellness experience.

Prof. Dato' Sri Dr. Mike Chan, founder and chairman of European Wellness, shared his vision for the center: "This new premier center represents the culmination of our efforts to bring world-class, cutting-edge therapy services to Kota Kinabalu. Our goal is not just to provide treatments, but to create a hub for innovative medical wellness education, tourism, and research. We are committed to transforming the future of healthcare and improving the quality of life for people around the world."

The center’s opening is complemented by plans for a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park, backed by an investment of 80 million USD. This expansion will include a new 70,000 square-foot lab facility, effectively doubling the workforce to a minimum of 600 staff.

Prof. Chan also highlighted the center’s focus on research and innovation:

Our facility houses an advanced world-class German research and testing laboratory. This, combined with our team’s expertise and our extensive network of international collaborations, positions us at the forefront of regenerative medicine and integrated healthcare solutions.
