INTERVIEW (Part 2): Global Doctors Say European Wellness Symposium Is Shaping the Future of Regenerative Medicine

Leading physicians from across Asia reflect on their experiences at the European Wellness Bio-Regenerative, Longevity & Aesthetic Case Studies Symposium, highlighting how stem cells, peptides, exosomes, and precision medicine are reshaping patient care.
KOTA KINABALU, Sabah (July 31, 2026) — The European Wellness Academy’s Bio-Regenerative, Longevity & Aesthetics Case Studies Symposium continued to draw praise from international physicians as more delegates shared how regenerative medicine is reshaping both their professional practice and personal lives.
Following the first round of interviews with delegates from Canada, Brazil, the Philippines, and Malaysia, three more doctors from the United States, Thailand, and Russia reflected on how the symposium has strengthened their understanding of precision regenerative medicine while providing practical knowledge they can take back to their own clinics.
Dr. Alina Adgamova, a Russian integrative medicine physician practicing in Phuket, Thailand, speaks about the importance of continuous medical education and international collaboration in advancing stem cell and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Thomas W. Schubert, from the United States, shares how regenerative medicine transformed his own health journey, describing how stem cells, exosomes, peptides, and integrative therapies helped him recover from chronic inflammation and regain an active lifestyle.
Dr. Yosatas Somwangsub from Villa Medica Bangkok, says his second visit to the European Wellness Academy symposium provided valuable updates on new regenerative medicine technologies and clinical applications that he can immediately incorporate into patient care.
A Doctor’s Journey From Chronic Disease to Recovery
Perhaps the most personal story came from Dr. Thomas W. Schubert, MD, PhD, from the United States, who said his interest in regenerative medicine began not in the clinic but through his own struggle with chronic illness.

Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan and Dr. Thomas W. Schubert pose with two of Prof. Chan’s published books on regenerative medicine during the symposium at the European Wellness Auditorium in Kota Kinabalu.
Just over a year ago, he weighed more than 150 kilograms and was living with ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic inflammation, and severe joint pain that limited his mobility.
“There was a time when I could only walk about 150 meters before I had to stop and sit down,” he recalled.
After years of conventional treatments, including biologics, methotrexate, and high-dose steroids, Dr. Schubert said he decided to explore regenerative medicine as part of his own recovery.
Today, he has lost more than 40 kilograms and says he has regained an active lifestyle.
“I have no inflammation. I can work out again. I can play sports again. I feel like I’m in my twenties.”
He credited a combination of stem cells, exosomes, peptide therapies, and intravenous nutritional support with helping him regain his health, while emphasizing that quality and scientific consistency remain essential in regenerative medicine.
“The most important thing is having products that deliver consistent, repeatable results,” he said. “That’s what allows doctors to provide the best possible care for their patients.”
Drawing from his own experience, Dr. Schubert encouraged fellow physicians to prioritize their own health alongside that of their patients.
“Don’t just be a doctor for your patients,” he said. “Be a doctor for yourself first. Heal yourself, heal your family, and then go out and help others.”
Learning the Science Behind the Future
For Dr. Alina Adgamova, an integrative medicine physician from Russia, currently practicing in Phuket, Thailand, the symposium represented an opportunity to stay current with rapidly evolving regenerative technologies.
Having used European Wellness products in clinical practice for more than two years, she said attending the program allowed her to deepen her understanding of stem cell science while learning directly from Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan and the international faculty.
“It is so important to keep learning about new technologies,” she said.
Dr. Adgamova described the symposium as an open environment where doctors from different countries could freely exchange ideas, discuss clinical experiences, and learn from one another.
“I want to encourage doctors from all over the world to attend conferences like this,” she said. “You can ask questions, share experiences, and learn from colleagues from many different countries. The quality of education is very high.”
She added that regenerative medicine represents an important direction for the future of healthcare.
“Stem cells are about the future.”
Returning for New Knowledge
Also attending the symposium for the second time was Dr. Yosatas Somwangsub from Villa Medica Bangkok in Thailand.
He said one of the program’s greatest strengths is its ability to continually introduce new scientific developments rather than repeating previous material.
“Since the last seminar, there has been so much new knowledge and new technology,” he said.
Dr. Somwangsub noted that the latest advances in regenerative medicine, new clinical equipment, and updated treatment approaches would help improve the quality of care he provides to his patients.
“Every year I come back with more knowledge that I can apply in my practice,” he said.
He encouraged other physicians to experience the program for themselves.
“If you’re thinking about joining, please come,” he said. “It’s very good.”

A Shared Commitment to Better Patient Care
Although each physician arrived with different professional backgrounds and personal experiences, their interviews reflected a common theme: continuing medical education remains essential as regenerative medicine evolves.
Whether inspired by personal recovery, scientific curiosity, or the desire to improve patient outcomes, the delegates described the symposium as more than a scientific conference. They viewed it as a collaborative platform where international experts exchange knowledge, evaluate emerging technologies, and explore practical applications of regenerative medicine in everyday clinical practice.
Together with the delegates featured in the first interview series, their experiences underscore the European Wellness Academy’s growing role as an international center for education, collaboration, and innovation in regenerative, longevity, and precision medicine.

International delegates gather with Prof. Mike Chan following one of the symposium sessions, highlighting the growing global network of physicians advancing regenerative, longevity, and precision medicine through education and collaboration.
