Dubai Hosts Middle East Congress Showcasing Breakthroughs in Regenerative Medicine with Professor Mike Chan
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – The Middle East Congress for Regenerative Medicine, held on November 1-2, 2024, at Dubai’s JW Marriott Hotel Marina, showcased the latest breakthroughs in regenerative medicine, with global experts discussing advanced stem cell therapies, mitochondrial medicine, and innovative treatments for a variety of conditions. The event underscored Dubai’s growing ambition to position itself as a global leader in medical innovation.
Organized by PEMs and powered by European Wellness, a leader in biological regenerative medicine, the congress drew specialists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the world. The event was supported by prominent institutions, including the American Spine Center and the American Board of Regenerative Medicine. A pre-congress workshop on October 30, hosted by the American Spine Center, provided further opportunities for in-depth discussion and knowledge sharing.
A highlight of the congress was two keynote presentations by Professor Dato’ Sri Mike Chan, Chief Researcher and Founder of European Wellness Biomedical Group (EWBG). His talks, titled “Longevity Through Health Span via Precision Medicine with Cell Span in Regenerative Medicine” and “Targeted Organ & Brain Specific Peptides & Exosomes with NAD in Regenerative Medicine,” explored precision medicine’s role in extending health spans and developing targeted therapies using peptides, exosomes, and NAD to combat degenerative diseases.
Professor Chan’s expertise in stem cell research and anti-aging therapies garnered significant attention. Attendees praised his insights, with Dr. Elisabeth Makk of Germany describing his lectures as “very inspiring and backed by scientific knowledge.” Dr. Tarik Sultan lauded Professor Chan’s ability to present complex topics simply, while Dr. Fatima Nurdinova, Medical Director of Elegance Polyclinics and GulGlam Clinics, expressed appreciation for his willingness to “share his knowledge.” Dr. Massimo Piracci noted that the presentations contained “valuable information” that would require thorough study, while also highlighting the honor of being among Professor Chan’s close circle.
In addition to Professor Chan, the congress featured a prominent lineup of speakers, including Dr. Shaikha Almazrouei from King’s College London, who co-chaired the event alongside Dr. Hisham Hakim. Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Health, led a key panel on regulatory frameworks for regenerative medicine, reflecting the region’s focus on establishing clear guidelines for the field.
The congress covered a wide array of topics, such as:
- Advanced stem cell therapies
- Treatments for neurodevelopmental disorders
- Mitochondrial medicine
- Aesthetic and metabolic medicine
- Immunology and degenerative diseases
- Brain disorders and hormonal optimization
- Stem cell applications in aesthetic medicine
This diverse program highlighted the far-reaching impact of regenerative medicine on various medical fields.
As a testament to the event’s significance, Professor Chan was invited to an exclusive gala dinner hosted by Dr. Hakim, Chairman of the American Spine Center, on the evening of November 1. The dinner honored key contributors to the field and provided a platform for informal discussions on the future of regenerative medicine.
The Middle East Congress for Regenerative Medicine solidified Dubai’s role as a premier destination for medical innovation and tourism, positioning the region at the forefront of the rapidly advancing field of regenerative medicine.
