Parkinson’s Disease Patient Recovering and Living Normally?

Parkinson's Disease Patient Recovering and Living Normally?

“Parkinson’s disease patients usually do not recover. What I can do is to keep it under control, so it will not get worse…”

It can happen to anyone. Parkinson’s disease is a nervous system disorder that impairs movement, balance, and speech, among other things, and afflicts an estimated seven to 10 million people worldwide. Famous patients such as Muhammad Ali and Michael J. Fox helped increase public awareness of Parkinson’s, but very little is still known about it and for most patients, it is a condition that gets progressively worse with time.

Today, however, some 20 years after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s, Mr Agassi Ko has seen great improvements in his condition. He can even play tennis and golf again!

How did he do it? Watch to find out, in another episode of #EWSuccessStories!
