In front of the iconic Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, with the giant Cannes 2026 banners towering above the red carpet, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike K.S. Chan reflected on the growing connection between cinema, influence, and the future of wellness.

“It is a wonderful experience here. I become very excited and I love the impact,” he shared.

“This is where we have to bring wellness and longevity together with cinematic impact and effect. We must talk about healthspan, quality of life, and longevity using the same powerful storytelling that cinema brings to the world.”

As crowds gathered around the famous red carpet and international media filled the Croisette, Prof. Mike described Cannes as a place where emotion, culture, creativity, and global influence intersect.

“I’ve spoken in over 80 countries around the world, but the impact here is very different. I love it.”
