Decoding Longevity: Dr. Ulrich Volz Discovers Regenerative Powerhouse at European Wellness Premier Center at Kota Kinabalu
KOTA KINABALU, Sabah (December 14, 2025) – European Wellness Premier Centre (EWPC) recently welcomed world-renowned Swiss scientist and orthodontist Dr. Karl Ulrich Volz and his daughter Ann-Sophie, for an immersive experience in regenerative medicine led by bioregenerative pioneer Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan.
Dr. Volz, a trailblazer in biological dentistry and systemic health, underwent a targeted, organ-specific stem cell protocol during his visit, an experience he called “a milestone in longevity research.”
In a landmark meeting of minds, Dr. Volz visited the European Wellness Premier Center (EWPC) in Alamesra, Kota Kinabalu, joining a growing list of world-renowned experts who have made the journey to collaborate with Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan.
Dr. Volz is the founder of Swiss Biohealth Clinic and SDS Swiss Dental Solutions, credited with developing the world’s first marketable ceramic (zirconia) dental implants and promoting a new model of “biological dentistry”, one that connects oral health directly to systemic and long-term wellness.
“We had a wonderful night, slept extremely well, no pain or discomfort at all, and today we feel ready to take on the world,” said Dr. Volz after completing his personalized therapy program at EWPC.
“The therapies were simply sensational. I have never experienced such an exceptionally attentive, kind, and highly competent group of people. The clinic is structured beautifully, clear, elegant, and incredibly well thought through.”
What impressed him most, he said, was the end-to-end experience, down to the operational details that remove stress from the healing journey.
“The EW welcome team took care of us from the very first beginning, picking us up at the airport. It’s just… no worries. At all,” he said. “Everything is considered, is taken care of, and the team is amazing. Very well trained, they can answer every question.”
He added that the center’s clinical depth surprised him even as a seasoned longevity clinician.
“To be honest, I never in my whole life I’ve undergone such intense diagnose,” Volz said, describing EWPC’s DDRR approach. “On one hand, I was not sure if I want to know everything… but fortunately… beside a few age-related things, it was all perfect, all good.”
Volz’s visit was more than just clinical, it was personal. He and his daughter, Ann-Sophie, underwent customized regenerative treatments and plan to return in April 2026 with their entire family. “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for these truly remarkable three days,” he wrote to Prof. Mike Chan. “We even had to buy two extra suitcases just to carry the fascinating books, supplements, and outstanding medications from your clinic.”
For Ann-Sophie, it was also her first regenerative treatment experience, one that immediately shifted her mindset.
“This is my first treatment I’m having and I feel great as well,” she said. “All the impressions we learned during these past days, we’re writing everything down… and the team is just… I feel so warm in my heart. Dr. Margarita, everybody was taking so great care of us.”
She shared that the health assessments gave her unexpected clarity about the roots of her autoimmune issue.
“My doctor back in Germany told me that with my gut everything seems great, and then Dr. Margarita told me that I actually have leaky gut, which provokes the autoimmune disease and attacks my thyroid,” she said. “So that was a big understanding for me, where the cause of this whole thing is and where to attack my health.”
Volz, watching his daughter step into the process with confidence, described it as a turning point.
“I was super proud,” he said, recalling her learning to self-inject despite previously fearing needles. “This week completely changed the perception and the attitude of Ann-Sophie regarding her own health and regarding regenerative medicine in general.”
The Longevity Code in Action
Dr. Volz’s visit to EWPC was also a convergence of philosophies. While Prof. Chan has led the development of organ-targeted stem cell therapy, Dr. Volz has long promoted a concept he calls the “Longevity Code.”
Rather than relying on quick-fix biohacks, Volz advocates a systematic approach to slowing and reversing biological aging, targeting chronic inflammation (especially from oral “disturbance fields” like root canals or metal fillings), optimizing mitochondrial function, and improving measurable biomarkers such as telomere length and regeneration scores.
Key elements of the Longevity Code include:
- Biological Dentistry: Removing inflammatory sources in the jaw using metal-free ceramic implants
- Lifestyle Optimization: Enhancing nutrition, sleep, stress levels, and immune resilience
- Systemic Regeneration: Using medical therapies to support mitochondrial health and DNA repair
- Tracking Progress: Monitoring metrics like biological age, telomere length, and stress via devices like Vital Monitor
Dr. Volz, who reduced his own biological age through this methodology, says this type of “decoding” allows patients to outpace their passport age and potentially lower risks of chronic disease and infection.
“We’re not hacking the body, we’re decoding it,” he often says in talks around the world.
At EWPC, he said, that “decoding” was not theoretical, it was lived, structured, and immediately actionable.
“Detox is the most important thing, and that is where we have a very strong mutual overlapping,” he said, drawing parallels between biological dentistry as “Detox step one” and EWPC’s deeper systemic protocols. “What you guys are doing is Detox step two… then comes Repair… then Rejuvenation.”
He added that the program did more than deliver therapies, it sharpened discipline.
“Beside the wonderful therapies, supplements, stem cells and peptides, which I have received in your clinic… I got an incredible boost to even take better care of my lifestyle,” Volz said. “Since then my daughter and I are learning like crazy and writing things down.”
Two Titans of Wellness, Finally Meet

In a remarkable twist, Prof. Mike Chan revealed that Dr. Volz had previously worked under contract at his former hospital, Paracelsus Clinic Lustmühle in St. Gallen, Switzerland, between 2012 and 2014. Despite the connection, the two never met in person at the time.
“It’s incredible,” Prof. Mike Chan remarked. “Dr. Volz was part of my Swiss operations over a decade ago, and fate brought us together only now, both of us having grown global ecosystems in longevity and regenerative medicine. The synergy is undeniable.”
For Volz, the long arc of that story landed with humor, and real admiration.
“I found out just a few days ago that at this time it was owned by Professor Chan, but unfortunately we never met,” he said. “I just heard… the clinic is owned by a medical rockstar from Malaysia.”
Then he smiled and delivered the conclusion:
“I was happy to finally… meet Prof. Mike Chan, who is a genius, who is extremely supportive,” Volz said. “I can say, I believe he’s the best on this field.”
Looking ahead, Volz said collaboration isn’t optional, it’s inevitable.
“Yes, of course. I mean, that’s a must,”
he said, when asked if he could see himself working with Prof. Chan in the future. He pointed to a clear clinical opportunity: integrating biological dentistry into the broader regenerative model.
“I did find myself thinking about the potential value of integrating biological dentistry into the European Wellness Center,” Volz said. “Given the infrastructure already in place, it could further strengthen the overall treatment model.”
Beyond facilities, he described his role as a connector, linking “the best of the best” across borders.
“Over the years, I’ve built a global network of biological dentists and physicians,” he said. “Having that expertise integrated within your team could be highly complementary.”
Volz said he is already discussing bringing Prof. Chan to Europe, so his network can learn directly from EWPC’s organ-specific regenerative protocols.
“I’m already talking with Prof. Chan to bring him to one of our conferences to Europe,” he said. “Because I believe everybody in my network should know his work, should know him, and vice versa.”
He also framed the partnership as values-aligned.
“We have the same mindset about perfection of the treatment… the same ethical approach and standards,” Volz said. “I can feel that in his concept it’s not about money, it’s about making the world a healthier place.”
Why Sabah Works for Medical Tourism
Volz said EWPC’s success isn’t just about medicine, it’s about an ecosystem that makes high-touch, high-frequency care possible.

“As we know in Europe and in North America, we are quite often limited by the law,” he said, noting that Malaysia’s environment can be “much more open” for advanced integrative protocols.
He also cited the practical realities of building a large, service-intensive center.
“I learned that you have something like 300-plus staff at this place,” Volz said. “If you look at the salaries you have to pay in Switzerland, impossible.”
But what stood out most, he said, was the human factor.
“The personality of the Malaysian people… they are so friendly. Everybody’s friendly,” he said. “I have the feeling that the mentality… is to be friendly, to be helpful, to be attentive. I think the overall mentality… helps as well to run a clinic like that.”
He added that he was “highly surprised about the standard of the clinic”, from the lab to the interiors, calling it “amazing.”
And in Sabah, he and his daughter found the ideal complement to intensive treatment: a place to decompress and integrate.
“We’re staying on Gaya Island, it’s super calm,” he said. “Processing everything… what we learned and received. So, it’s the right place.”
Ann-Sophie agreed, describing the calm as part of the healing architecture, slowing the body down so the mind can catch up, describing the days after treatment as both restorative and motivating.
Volz noted that they hadn’t explored much of Kota Kinabalu yet, but they intend to.
“Next time we definitely want to explore it more,” he said.
Anti-Aging Specialist Dr. Thierry Hertoghe Visits EWPC Kota Kinabalu
In March 2025, Dr. Thierry Hertoghe, a globally respected expert in anti-aging and hormone therapy, made a special visit to the European Wellness Premier Centre (EWPC) in Kota Kinabalu. During his stay, he underwent a personalized regenerative program, including targeted stem cell therapy to support brain and eye health.
Originally from Belgium, Dr. Hertoghe is a fourth-generation physician widely known for his work in longevity medicine, bioidentical hormone therapy, nutrition, and lifestyle-based prevention. He later described his experience at EWPC as “fascinating and enriching,” noting the clinic’s depth in both diagnostics and regenerative treatment.
Sharing his reflections on Instagram, Dr. Hertoghe wrote:
“I had the unique opportunity to meet Dr. Mike Chan, a true pioneer with rare expertise in stem cell therapies. He warmly welcomed me and generously shared his knowledge, explaining in detail their innovative approach. It was a fascinating and enriching experience that allowed me to deepen my understanding of this cutting-edge field of regenerative medicine.”
Dr. Hertoghe highlighted the professionalism and attentiveness of the medical team, reporting early benefits including clearer mental focus, improved sleep quality, and more stable cognitive energy—outcomes consistent with his own emphasis on personalized, preventive care.
The convergence of global longevity leaders at EWPC has also included Dr. Nick Delgado, a US-based health educator and performance coach known for his work in lifestyle medicine, hormone optimization, plant-based nutrition, and evidence-based anti-aging strategies. During his visit, Delgado explored how EWPC’s organ-targeted stem cell therapies complement lifestyle-first approaches to longevity. His presence, alongside figures such as Dr. Hertoghe, reflects growing international recognition of EWPC as a rare center where education, discipline, and regenerative science are integrated into a practical model for long-term health.
