Professor Mike Chan visits the Embassy of the UAE, discussing High-Profile Collaboration on Healthcare & Education
Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, a world-renowned stem cell researcher, recently visited the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the invitation of His Excellency Dr. Mubarak Saeed AlDhaheri, the UAE Ambassador to Malaysia.
During his visit, Prof. Chan met with senior government officials and dignitaries to discuss potential collaboration in the areas of education, awareness, and the establishment of a new center focused on diabetes and autism.
“It was a privilege to be invited by the UAE government to explore ways we can work together to address important health issues,” said Prof. Mike Chan. “Diabetes and autism are growing concerns globally, and I’m excited about the prospect of setting up a dedicated center that can advance research, education, and patient care in these areas.”
The proposed center would serve as a hub for multidisciplinary research, clinical services, and community outreach programs. By bringing together experts from various fields, the center aims to develop innovative approaches to prevention, treatment, and support for individuals and families affected by diabetes and autism.
“We are pleased to have hosted Prof. Chan and discussed the opportunity to establish a world-class center that can make a significant impact on the lives of people in the UAE and beyond,” said HE Dr. Mubarak Saeed AlDhaheri. “This collaboration aligns with our country’s commitment to advancing healthcare and promoting the well-being of our citizens.”
The visit marks the beginning of a promising partnership between Professor Chan’s European Wellness and the UAE government. Both parties have expressed their enthusiasm to further explore the details of the proposed center and work towards its realization in the coming months.
We look forward to our next meeting, which will take place in Dubai from Oct 31 to Nov 3, where we will explore this fascinating partnership with UAE officials where Prof. Dr. Mike Chan will lead a delegation of professors and clinicians from EWBG to UAE.
Stay tuned for more exciting news!
