European Wellness Embarks on Stem Cells Research and Biotechnology with UKM’s Faculty of Medicine

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UKM’s Faculty of Medicine and the European Wellness Biomedical Group was completed successfully earlier on 30 January 2024.

We were more than thrilled that Prof. Dato’ Dr. Wan Kamal Mujani, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research & Innovation, expressed his happiness with the partnership, describing it as an excellent chance for UKM to engage in innovative research and development alongside a major worldwide company.

Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mike Chan, Chairman and Founder of European Wellness Biomedical Group (EWB), who was once mentee of the leading authorities in Stem Cells and Organotherapy in 1980s Germany, Switzerland, and the Soviet Union, also expressed enthusiasm for the collaborative endeavour, expressing hope for the future expansion of stem cell research through this cooperation.

Also representing EWB was Prof. Dr. Dmytro Klokol adding further value to the signing ceremony, sharing a few ideas and insights to the hosts.

Important to note, highly-esteemed Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Gafor (Dean) and other members of faculty management were in attendance.

Previous to the MoU signing, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Fauzi Md Busra, Head of the CTERM Department was also present at the European Wellness Academy 3-Days Summer Seminar held last year in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, that was attended by professors and academicians from all over the globe including renowned biomedical practitioners from the United States.

Meanwhile, also present during the MoU signing was Prof. Datin Dr. Marina Mat Baki, Deputy Dean specialising in Industry & Community Partnership Affairs, having had great exchange of ideas and knowledge with Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr Mike Chan.
