European Wellness at ESCEO 2026 in Prague

PRAGUE, APRIL 16-19th, 2026 — As the global population ages, the silent epidemic of osteoporosis continues to challenge healthcare systems worldwide. At the 26th World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ESCEO), held in Prague from April 16–19, 2026, the focus shifted toward innovative diagnostics and holistic management strategies. Among the key participants was European Wellness, a group known for its bioregenerative medicine research and approaches, which presented new collaborative research on bone health.

The annual ESCEO Congress is the world’s largest gathering dedicated to musculoskeletal diseases, drawing leading researchers, clinicians, and industry innovators. For European Wellness, participation in this prestigious event has become a valued tradition, underscoring their commitment to integrating advanced diagnostics with comprehensive patient care.

A Collaborative Approach to Bone Health

During the congress, the European Wellness team presented findings from their joint scientific research in the Poster presentation section. This research was conducted in collaboration with the Bogomolets National Medical University and the Ukrainian Osteoporosis Center of the State Institution “D.F. Chebotarev Institute of Gerontology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine,” led by Prof. N.V. Grygorieva.

The presentation highlighted the fruits of a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2024, demonstrating how international academic and clinical partnerships can advance the understanding and management of osteoporosis.

The collaboration extends beyond research; it has also fostered educational initiatives, such as the European Wellness Academy (EWA) Hybrid Symposium titled “Diagnosis, Risk, Prevention, and Management of Osteoporosis & Sarcopenia,” held in August 2025 at the European Wellness Premier Center.

The rapid development of bioregenerative medicine, supported by scientific research, is opening new opportunities for comprehensive prevention and management of chronic diseases, especially in patients with multiple comorbidities.

Our collaborative scientific work also supports practical approaches to helping patients with chronic diseases associated with reduced bone mineral density (Osteoporosis).

The European Wellness  Centers are equipped with modern technology for osteoporosis assessment — REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry). This innovative radiation-free diagnostic technology provides bone density assessment accuracy comparable to DXA, without exposure to X-rays.

REMS represents a significant shift in bone density assessment. Unlike traditional Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) scans, which rely on ionizing radiation, REMS utilizes ultrasound signals to evaluate bone status at the lumbar spine and femoral neck. This radiation-free technology provides accuracy comparable to DXA but eliminates X-ray exposure.

European Wellness Centers have integrated REMS technology to enhance their osteoporosis assessment capabilities. The benefits of this approach are particularly notable for specific patient populations. According to ESCEO consensus recommendations, REMS is highly beneficial for individuals for whom DXA may be difficult, unavailable, or contraindicated.

Patient Populations Benefiting from REMS
Pregnant women
Children
Bedridden patients
Patients with Kidney disease or Diabetes Mellitus
Individuals with Obesity
Patients with degenerative spine disorders, vertebral fractures, or Spondylitis

Holistic Management and Bioregenerative Medicine

The integration of REMS technology aligns with European Wellness’s broader strategy of utilizing bioregenerative medicine for the prevention and management of chronic diseases. Osteoporosis, characterized by reduced bone mineral density, often co-occurs with other age-related conditions. By employing precise, radiation-free diagnostics, clinicians can better monitor bone health and tailor holistic interventions.

“We are always ready to support our patients through holistic and science-based approaches to healthy longevity,” a representative from European Wellness noted in their congress writeup.
