Potential collaboration would focus on a non-residential day care and wellness center supporting children with autism and older adults, alongside local talent development and future industry-building opportunities.

A prospective investor delegation representing the Macao Chinese Medicine & Comprehensive Health Manufacturing, Supply and Retailers Commercial Association (MCMHRCA) visited European Wellness on September 1, 2026, to explore a potential collaboration aimed at bringing community-based wellness support, specialized programs and health technologies to Macao.

The delegation was led by Dickson (吴时德), Executive President and Senior Director of MCMHRCA, who served as the main person in charge for the visit and the exploratory collaboration discussions.

At the center of the discussions was an early-stage proposal to establish a non-residential day care and wellness center. The proposed facility would be designed to provide daytime support without hospital admission or overnight stays, with an initial focus on programs for children with autism and older adults.

The visit gave the delegation an opportunity to understand European Wellness’ operational model, available technologies, program delivery and education capabilities. The program began with product training and a company introduction, followed by a tour of the wellness center. Delegates were also introduced to Biomedscan and InBody assessment technologies—replacing the hyperbaric session listed in the original schedule—and observed how diagnostic and assessment devices may support personalized wellness planning.

Building the Case for a Macao Pilot

The discussions remain at an exploratory stage. For the first phase, the Macao group is gathering technical, operational and training information from European Wellness to determine how the organizations could work together. These findings are expected to inform a proposal for a Macao government grant.

Government collaboration was a central theme throughout the training and discussions. The delegation highlighted the importance of aligning any future center with Macao’s community needs and development priorities, while seeking public-sector support for a model that could broaden access to structured daytime wellness services.

No final investment, grant approval or launch timetable was announced during the visit. Instead, the exchange provided a practical foundation for evaluating the proposed center, defining possible areas of cooperation and preparing the next-stage submission.

FIRST-PHASE PRIORITY

Gather the right information, shape a workable collaboration model and prepare a proposal that demonstrates meaningful benefits for the Macao community.

Supporting Families, Older Adults and the Wider Community

The proposed center would be positioned as a community-focused setting rather than an inpatient facility. Its intended role is to offer structured daytime services and wellness programs for families seeking additional support for children with autism, as well as for older adults who may benefit from personalized wellness monitoring and age-supportive programs.

Any services would be introduced subject to appropriate professional oversight, regulatory requirements and local approvals. This phased approach would allow the partners to assess community needs, determine suitable programs and establish clear operational standards before implementation.

Education as a Pillar of the Partnership

The European Wellness Academy was also discussed as an important part of the potential collaboration. Beyond transferring technology and treatment protocols, the Academy could support professional education, skills development and practical training for people in Macao.

Developing local talent is a key objective for the visiting group. Training local practitioners and support personnel could help build long-term capability within Macao, create a stronger pool of wellness professionals and reduce dependence on expertise brought in from outside the city. In this way, the proposed partnership could contribute not only to service delivery but also to broader industry development.

The delegation’s program included an online meeting with European Wellness leadership, providing an additional forum to discuss the collaboration model, knowledge transfer and the requirements for building a sustainable local ecosystem.

Looking Toward a Second Phase

The delegation also visited laboratory and logistics operations at KKIP, including Baden Research Lab, to gain a wider view of the infrastructure behind research, product development and supply.

The possibility of establishing local laboratory capacity and GMP-aligned manufacturing in Macao was discussed as a potential second phase. Such an expansion would come only after the initial service model has been evaluated and would depend on feasibility, regulatory approvals, funding and market requirements.

For now, the emphasis remains on the first phase: identifying a practical partnership structure, defining how European Wellness technologies and programs could be adapted for Macao, and supporting the delegation as it develops its government grant proposal.

The visit concluded with both sides better informed about the opportunities and practical considerations involved. While the initiative remains under development, the discussions reflected a shared interest in combining community service, workforce development and wellness innovation in a model designed for Macao’s local needs.
